Enzymatic Kinetics in Complex Media

This work is carried out in collaboration with Francesco Piazza and his group at the CBM and at the University of Florence. We study enzymatic (but not only) reactions in different complex media reminiscent to biological/cellular environments. These may interact with active components and significantly influence reaction rates or pathways. The interactions are investigated with appropriate biophysical methods involving a synchrotron radiation facility (Soleil).

Since 2021, we are involved in the project X-CROWD, which is financed by ANR. Our group is responsible of experimental biophysical investigations of enzymatic kinetics in crowded media. Actually, Josipa Cecic Vidos is hired for this work at the CBM.
